OTR - stands for OFF THE ROAD.
Tyre Retreading is the process where selected and inspected worn out
tyres receive a new tread. It is also known as recycling of tyres.
TECHNO - ECONOMICS - Most of the OTR tyres running, especially the
bigger ones are imported and cost precious Foreign Exchange. By retreading a
tyre, we get 60% to 90% life of the new tyre at about 10% - 15% cost depending
upon the old casing and working conditions, resulting in enormous savings by the
way of less cost per hour. less capital cost & Foreign Exchange. The retreaded
tyres are a viable economic alternative to new tyres.
A wide range of tyres from the little Maruti car right up to biggest OTR
tyre running in our country viz. for 170T dumpers are being retreaded and
repaired.
Through - Cut Repair - Most of the tyres in our country are tubeless. In
coming years, we will see only tubeless tyres due to immense advantages over the
tube tyres.
